27 pp. [colophon] Limited signed, and numbered edition of 45 copies. This book was originally included within the lavishly produced Ultra Deluxe Limited Edition of The Grand Cascapedia River, A History Volumes 1 & II. Not all of the planned 45 sets of this book were completed. This is one of the few remaining copies (10?) intended for these volumes, and as such are the higher numbered copies. This copy is number 45 A thirty-two-page letterpress pamphlet entitled "Two Rivers and a Friend," the cover of which is handmade from Indian Khadi Almond shaded paper. The pages are held in place by a piece of 19th century braided silk salmon casting line given to Mr. Carmichael by a ninety-one-year-old Scotsman in 1979. The pamphlet contains three original pieces by Hoagy B. Carmichael: One about an unusual trip to the River Alta and the use of dry flies, and another tells of a big salmon caught on the Grand Cascapedia River. The third is a fond remembrance of the great reel maker, Stan Bogdan. There are six tipped-in digital photographic images, held with archival backing adhesive.
